Myriam Taverna est Professeure en Biotechnologie pharmaceutique à l’Université Paris-Sud (Université Paris-Saclay, France) depuis 2005 et a occupé auparavant des fonctions de Maitres de conférences en chimie analytique à la faculté de pharmacie de l’Université Paris-Sud. En 2017 elle est nommée membre senior de l’institut Universitaire de France. Elle dirige actuellement une équipe de recherche composée de 16 chercheurs, qui se consacre au développement de techniques analytiques miniaturisées pour l’analyse de peptides, protéines qu’elles soient thérapeutiques, cibles de médicaments ou biomarqueurs de pathologie. Son activité de recherche s’appuie notamment sur les nanotechnologies, les microsystèmes d’analyse, l’électrophorèse capillaire et les méthodes séparatives ainsi que leur couplage à la spectrométrie de masse. Ses travaux de recherche dans le domaine des biomarqueurs de la maladie d’Alzheimer l’ont amenée à co-fonder en 2014 la start-up Alzohis dédiée au diagnostic de la maladie d’Alzheimer.
Myriam Taverna is Professor of Analytical Chemistry and Biotechnology at Paris-Sud University (Paris-Saclay University, France) since 2005 and senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF). She is currently leading a research team of 16 researchers, dedicated to the development of miniaturized analytical techniques for the analysis of peptides, protein being biotherapeutics, drug targets or biomarkers of pathology. Its research activity is mainly based on nanotechnologies, analytical microsystems, capillary electrophoresis and separation methods as well as their coupling to mass spectrometry. Her research work in the field of biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease led her to co-found in 2014 the start-up Alzohis dedicated to the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.
