In French Hervé Hillaireau est Professeur en Pharmacotechnie et Biopharmacie à l’Université Paris-Sud. Il enseigne la Pharmacie galénique à la Faculté de Pharmacie et effectue ses recherches en ingénierie particulaire et cellulaire à visée thérapeutique dans le groupe d’Elias Fattal au sein de l’Institut Galien Paris-Sud. Ses travaux portent sur la conception de nanovecteurs d’acides nucléiques et d’analogues nucléosidiques/nucléotiques à activité antivirale et anticancéreuse, la fonctionnalisation de surface de nanovecteurs, ainsi que sur l’évaluation toxicologique des nanoparticules biodégradables.

In English Hervé Hillaireau is Full Professor in Pharmaceutical Technology at the School of Pharmacy of Université Paris-Sud. His research at Institut Galien Paris-Sud in Elias Fattal’s group relates to the design and the toxicological evaluation of biodegradable nanoparticles as drug nanocarriers, with a focus on: nanocarrier design for nucleoside/nucleotide analogues and nucleic acids applied to anticancer and antiviral therapies; nanocarrier surface functionalization for molecular targeting; toxicological evaluation of biodegradable nanoparticles.
