François-Xavier LEGRAND est né à Béthune (France) en 1984. Il a obtenu le grade de Docteur en Chimie Organique et Macromoléculaire de l’Université d’Artois en novembre 2010 sous la direction des Professeurs Eric Monflier et Sébastien Tilloy. Au cours de son doctorat réalisé au sein de l’Unité de Catalyse et de Chimie du Solide, il a travaillé sur la mise au point de nouveaux transporteurs et ligands à base de cyclodextrine pour les processus de catalyse organométallique en milieu aqueux. Il a ensuite obtenu un poste Ingénieur-Chercheur post-doctoral au sein du Laboratoire de Structure et Dynamique par Résonance Magnétique du Commissariat à l’Énergie Atomique et aux Énergies Alternatives de Saclay et a travaillé sur l’étude par résonance magnétique nucléaire de l’interaction de gaz vis-à-vis de molécules cages hydrosolubles d’une part et sur l’hyperpolarisation de gaz pour des applications en RMN. En septembre 2011, il devient Maître de Conférences à l’Université Paris-Sud et rejoint l’équipe Physico-Chimie des Systèmes Polyphasés de l’Institut Galien Paris-Sud. Ses travaux actuels concernent les caractérisations thermodynamique et structurale de systèmes supramoléculaires complexes à base de cyclodextrines et/ou de lipides en présence ou non de molécules d’intérêt.
François-Xavier LEGRAND was born in Béthune (France) in 1984. He completed a Ph.D in Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry at the University of Artois in November 2010 under the direction of Professors Eric Monflier and Sébastien Tilloy. During his Ph.D. in the Catalysis and Solid Chemistry Unit, he worked on the development of novel cyclodextrin-based transporters and ligands for organometallic catalysis processes in aqueous media. He then obtained a Post-Doctoral Engineer-Researcher position in the Laboratory of Structure and Dynamics by NMR at the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission of Saclay and worked on the interaction of gases with water-soluble cage molecules by nuclear magnetic resonance and gas hyperpolarization for NMR applications. In September 2011, he was appointed Associate Professor at Paris-Sud University and joined the team Physico-Chemistry of Multiphasic Systems at the Institut Galien Paris-Sud. His current work is focused on the thermodynamic and structural characterization of complex supramolecular systems based on cyclodextrins and / or lipids with or without molecules of interest.
