The SITELF (Italian Society of Pharmaceutical Technology) has honored Professor Elias FATTAL with the 2026 SITELF International Award. This award, provided by an international jury of 33 renowned scientists from 14 countries, was presented to him at the 15th World Meeting on Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, held in Prague from March 23 to 26, 2026. On this occasion, he presented his research on nanomedicine strategies to improve the efficacy of drugs for the treatment of inflammatory diseases.

Elias FATTAL, Professor Emeritus of Pharmaceutical Technology at Paris-Saclay University, served as director of the Institut Galien Paris-Saclay from 2010 to 2019. He is currently a member of the INPACT team led by Nicolas TSAPIS. He is a member of the National Academy of Pharmacy, a corresponding member of the National Academy of Medicine, and a fellow of the European Academy of Sciences (EURASC) and the Controlled Release Society, Elias FATTAL received an award from the Academy of Sciences in 2016 for his work at the interface of chemistry and biology, and then, in 2018, the Maurice-Marie Janot Prize
