During the EUFEPS annual conference, held in Naples, Italy, from May 27 to 29, 2026, Elias FATTAL received the Presidential Distinction Award. This distinction is typically awarded to leading scientists or prominent figures in research who have made significant contributions to the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences at the European and international levels.

Elias FATTAL is Professor Emeritus of Pharmaceutical Technology at Université Paris-Saclay. He was director of the Institut Galien Paris-Saclay (CNRS UMR 8612) from 2010 to 2019. He is a member of the INPACT team. He is a full member of the National Academy of Pharmacy, a corresponding member of the National Academy of Medicine, and a fellow of the European Academy of Sciences (EURASC) and the Controlled Release Society.
