Sepsis, the body’s exacerbated inflammatory response to infection, remains a major cause of death worldwide. Effective treatments exist, but are often accompanied by significant side effects. Scientists in the INPACT team (doctoral thesis by Younes Louaguenouni, supervised by Elias Fattal and François Fay) are proposing an innovative nanovector-based approach that optimises the distribution of active ingredients to hyperinflamed immune cells, thereby significantly improving survival in a mouse model of sepsis.
