Presentation of the unit
The main objective of UMR CNRS 8612 is to design new pharmaceutical systems for controlled drug delivery and administration, with a particular focus on nanomedicines.
The Institut Galien Paris-Saclay benefits from several platforms managed by technical and administrative staff (ITA/BIATSS), including chromatographic analysis, cell culture, handling of radioactive elements, instrumentation workshop, molecular interactions, and rheology. The institute’s international appeal is demonstrated by the large number of PhD students and postdoctoral researchers it attracts from around the world. Our unit hosts 3 members of the Institut Universitaire de France, 1 ERC grant holder, 5 members of the French National Academy of Pharmacy, and 1 member of the French Academy of Sciences.
